Being part of the community is very important to the Forest Singers and nothing makes us happier than when we are able to sing at Community events. The highlight of our musical calendar is when we perform at Residential and Care homes. 

We have enjoyed singing at Cross Roads Care, Longhope Care, The Priory Nursing & Residential Home, and Hanover Court.

All the residents, carers, and staff enjoy a "good old jolly fashioned sing song"

Since we started in 2017 we have raised over £2000.00!!! for various charities including:-

Macmillan Cancer Support, Alzheimer's Society, Menieres Society, Cancer Research, Nickys JustGiving Fund, and  Mindsong

In October 2022 we raised £1000 for a special concert in aid of refugees from Ukraine.  This was donated to the St Briavels Ukrainian Refugees Hub 

At Christmas we choose not to send each other Christmas cards but instead to donate money to a local charity. 

In 2022 our chosen charity was the West Midlands Air Ambulance

Our chosen charity for 2019 was Forest Talk. This is a charity run by volunteers who read the weekly newspaper, which is then recorded. This allows for reading-impaired people to listen and keep up to date with local news and current events. Over £110.00 was raised for this worth while cause. 

In 2018 the charity we chose was Mindsong - Reaching those with Dementia to unlock memories and offering hope through music and song. We raised over £85.00

in 2017 we donated to Crossroads Care. 

We support our local Foodbank by donating food and Easter eggs.

We have enjoyed performing and entertaining guests at various Charity ball events. 

We were honoured to have been included in the "Helping Harry" Concert in the Summer of 2018 to raise vital funds to enable a young local boy within the community receive a life changing operation. 

In May 2019 we sang at the Colin Heselton Charity Ball in aid of Myeloma Uk and British Heart Foundation, and our most recent event was at the Old Court Hotel, Symonds Yat at their Summer Garden Party to raise money for MIND the Mental Health Charity.
