Forest Singers - Who we are
Forest Singers was formed by Anita Chaloner in March 2017 as a mixed community choir.
It became quite apparent that in the Forest of Dean there are a lot of male voice choirs and ladies only choirs but not many mixed choirs, and Forest Singers was born!
It all started on Monday 6th March 2017 where an anxious Anita nervously waited to see if any one would turn up.
From then on it has gone from strength to strength with nearly 50 members!!
Our ethos is quite simple, do you love to sing? then Forest Singers is for you.
We believe that choirs should not only be open for those who can sing or read music, but for anyone who has a real passion for singing and music.
There is no audition, and no pressure to join.
All are welcome to come, and sit in on our rehearsal evening for a free taster session. We guarantee a warm friendly welcome, a relaxed informal atmosphere, a cup of tea and even cake if you're lucky!
